Emerging youth leader Morara Kebaso has raised concerns over the growing trend of character assassination in Kenyan politics, especially targeting outspoken youth voices.
"Lies will be told about you to damage your reputation — and those lies, Kenyans will like, share, and repost with excitement," said Kebaso, speaking during a recent civic engagement session.
The statement highlights Kebaso’s continued frustration with misinformation, online bullying, and how digital platforms are being used to discredit new leaders.
Kebaso urged young Kenyans to remain focused, resilient, and self-aware in the face of public smear campaigns. His message was widely interpreted as a subtle commentary on recent attacks he himself has faced since stepping into the national spotlight.
