The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) has announced the schedule and released new guidelines for the upcoming November 2025 professional examinations. In a notice issued on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, the board confirmed that it will conduct exams for both pre-registration (Stage I & II) and enrolment (Level I & II) candidates. The pre-registration exams are designed for pharmacy graduates, while the pre-enrolment exams are for individuals seeking to qualify as enrolled pharmacy professionals.
According to PPB, the examinations will take place on November 17, 18, and 19, 2025, and will be administered online through designated examination centres nationwide. Candidates are required to apply via the PPB online services portal, with the application deadline set for October 31, 2025. Applicants must also select their preferred examination centre, though the board noted that centres may be subject to change, urging candidates to check the portal regularly for updates.
To participate, candidates must ensure they have access to a reliable computer with a stable internet connection. Devices should be fully charged and capable of running continuously for at least three hours during the exams. Mandatory rehearsals will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at all designated examination centres. These sessions will help candidates familiarize themselves with the PPB online examinations system and procedures. Additionally, mock exams will be conducted remotely to give candidates extra practice, with dates to be announced later.
The Pharmacy and Poisons Board, established under the Pharmacy and Poisons Act (Cap. 244, Laws of Kenya), serves as Kenya’s drug regulatory authority. Its mandate includes overseeing pharmacy training, practice, and continuing professional development to ensure high standards of healthcare delivery and professional competence.
