RUTO MOURNS PASSING OF KIMANI ICHUNG’WAH’S FATHER

President William Ruto has led the nation in mourning the death of National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah’s father, Mzee Isaac Ngugi, who passed away peacefully in his sleep at his Kikuyu home on Thursday, September 4, at the age of 105.
In his condolence message, President Ruto hailed the late Ngugi as an industrious and astute businessman, describing him as one of the pioneers who founded Kikuyu Town. “Mzee Ngugi touched many lives through his transformative initiatives that supported the vulnerable. His legacy will endure for generations,” the President said.
National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula also eulogized the centenarian, noting that his life journey will continue to inspire many. He announced that MPs will begin paying their respects on Tuesday, September 9, with details of the requiem mass and burial to be released later.
Mzee Ngugi is remembered as a community leader who contributed significantly to the growth of Kikuyu Town and mentored many in both business and social leadership.
