Just days after the tragic loss, another controversy hit the sacco. A Super Metro matatu was stopped by angry Kenyans in Nairobi’s CBD after colliding with a boda boda rider. The crowd forced the driver and passengers to alight as tempers flared.
In the viral footage, some Kenyans were heard making claims that the sacco might have joined a secret cult. One voice in the crowd shouted, "Kwani mliingia illuminati na hatujui?" The speculation added to the growing tension surrounding Super Metro’s reputation.
The boda boda rider sustained injuries, while his motorcycle was slightly damaged. Although it appeared to be an accident, many people linked it to the recent misfortunes surrounding the sacco. Some have called for investigations into the conduct of Super Metro drivers and conductors.
With public anger rising, the sacco now faces a tough battle to restore its image. Kenyans are closely following the unfolding events, waiting to see if more action will be taken.
