Dr. Susan Kamengere, the founder and CEO of Toto Touch, has died under unclear circumstances, hours after sharing a distressing and emotional post on Facebook that has left many in shock.
In the now-deleted message, Dr. Kamengere narrated a harrowing ordeal in which she alleged that she was forcibly injected and removed from her home by four individuals—two men and two women—describing the experience as degrading and traumatic.
The health expert and lactation consultant also revealed she was battling bipolar disorder and was still grieving the recent loss of her mother. Despite her struggles, she expressed hope in an upcoming international job interview and reflected on having turned down a prior opportunity in Seattle due to her health.
Close friends, including media personality Muthoni, confirmed her death shortly after the post went viral. Muthoni also shared the contents of the Facebook message, calling for empathy and mental health support awareness.
Dr. Kamengere was a respected figure in maternal and child health through her platform, Toto Touch, where she championed breastfeeding and postpartum care in Kenya.
Authorities have yet to confirm the cause of death, and no official statement has been released regarding the circumstances leading to her passing. Her death has triggered widespread grief and renewed conversations on mental health care, patient rights, and consent in medical intervention.
