US president, Donald Trump, has sent quite a cryptic response following the late Tuesday apology of Tesla boss, Elon Musk — over his recent remarks against Trump's domestic policies.
In a brief phone conversation with The Post, the president found it pleasing but did not delve much on the topic.
“I thought it was very nice that he did that,” the president responded on Wednesday, 11, morning.
Musk had previously trolled his one term ally , Trump, in a series of social media messages terming Trump's 'Big Beautiful Bill ' as ' Porky ' , aiming at benefiting a specific clique. The 53 year old tech mogul further alleged that he is the master mind behind Trump's incumbency and 2024 win.
In response, Trump told CNN on Friday that Musk was “crazy” — and threatened on Truth Social to revoke Elon's company federal government contracts.
But the Space X CEO reverted his statements on Tuesday night, probably seeking an opportunity to restore their diminished bromance.
“I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far,” Musk wrote after deleting his previous posts.
However, the President , though seemingly pleased with the apology, he downplayed on chances of burying the hatchet and getting back with his now ex-ally.
“I guess I could, but we have to straighten out the country," Trump said in Devine’s “Pod Force One” podcast.
“And my sole function now is getting this country back to a level higher than it’s ever been. And I think we can do that, " he added further digressing from the question.
