US DECLARES LIBERATION DAY

The declaration comes as President Donald Trump is preparing to address the United Nations General Assembly, where America will be on the same side as a majority of the world opposing war in Gaza.

Senator Lindsey Graham, one of Trump's strongest Senate allies, has warned that the step could trigger extremist forces.

In a tweet on his official X account, Graham claimed that statehood for Palestine is nothing but rewarding violence following the Hamas-led October 7 attack of Israel.

WHY THE US IS OPPOSING WESTERN COUNTRIES ON PALESTINE

The Senator had argued that a Palestinian state was being recognized without having the institutions and arrangements required for peace.

Furthermore, he pointed out that there were no clear borders, leadership, or security assurances for Israel.
Graham compared Palestinian statehood approval to appeasement of "modern-day religious Nazis," warning it would embolden terrorist organizations around the world.

He also charged Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, and the Houthis with having no genuine intent to seek a two-state solution.

"To those western leaders who buy this, I don't think you are anti-Semitic, just appallingly ignorant and blind to what you are doing," he said.
