Popular Kenyan comedian Arnold Saviour has confirmed he will miss his scheduled performance in the Netherlands, citing ongoing visa issues.
Saviour, known for his witty stand-up routines, was set to perform in Amsterdam but was unable to secure the necessary travel documents in time.
In a statement released to his fans, the comedian expressed his disappointment and apologized for the inconvenience. He reassured his followers that he is working to resolve the issue and hopes to reschedule the show in the near future.
"I'm truly gutted I won't be able to make it to Amsterdam," Saviour wrote. "We've been working on this for a while, and it's frustrating that something like this can happen. My team and I are doing everything we can to sort it out. To everyone who bought a ticket, thank you for your support, and I promise we'll find a new date soon."
The incident highlights a common challenge faced by many African artists and performers who often encounter bureaucratic hurdles when seeking visas to perform abroad.
Fans have flooded social media with messages of support for the comedian, with many calling for a more streamlined visa process for artists. The promoter of the Amsterdam show has not yet commented on the matter or announced a new date.
