EPRA ANNOUNCES FUEL PRICES FOR AUGUST-SEPTEMBER CYCLE

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced new fuel prices for the August 15 to September 14, 2025 cycle, offering motorists a slight reprieve at the pump.
In Nairobi, the price of super petrol has dropped by Ksh 1 to retail at Ksh 185.31 per litre, down from Ksh 186.31. Kerosene has also reduced by Ksh 1, now selling at Ksh 155.58 per litre. Diesel prices remain unchanged at Ksh 171.58 per litre.
According to EPRA, the changes follow a 0.73% drop in the landed cost of super petrol, from US$628.30 to US$623.71 per cubic metre between June and July. The landed cost for diesel and kerosene rose by 3.08% and 3.20% respectively, with diesel prices maintained despite the increase.
In Mombasa, motorists will pay Ksh 182.03 for petrol, Ksh 168.30 for diesel, and Ksh 152.29 for kerosene. The authority noted that global oil prices have declined, with Murban crude trading at US$68.25 per barrel on August 7, down from US$73.52 at the end of July.
The new prices will remain in effect until September 14, 2025.
